I was curious about your statement of ‘fearing life’ and ‘celebrating’ death. Myself, I have often wondered about the middle-class habit of fearing life. How people hold desperately onto security (status, money, material goods etc.) at the expense of the risk entailed in living – but I had not thought of it as ‘celebrating death’. This seems an interesting idea. Would you mind expand a little on what constitutes ‘fearing life’ and ‘celebrating death’ for you?
