I think I can see, now, what Ernest Becker was referring to by his
term "the pathology of normalcy."
Since most people are, as Becker’s Pulitzer-Prize winning book
stated, in "Denial of Death", these same people are in denial of
reality. Hence, it is "normal" to be in denial of one’s death (a
part of reality).
